Christina Hall and her estranged husband, Joshua Hall, are divorcing.
According to documents obtained by PEOPLE on July 15, 2024, Josh filed for divorce due to "irreconcilable differences." Sources close to Christina said she had also filed to end their marriage of nearly three years.
Following her divorce fromAnt Ansteadin June 2021,PEOPLE broke the newsthat the HGTVstarwas dating someone new on July 6, 2021, when she andJoshua Hallwere pictured walking hand-in-hand at the Los Angeles International Airport. The two were boarding a plane for a 38th birthday getaway for Christina. She later revealed that theyhad already been dating for several monthsat the time and noted they met in the spring of 2021.
On Sept. 20, 2021, theChristina on the Coaststar announced thatshe and Joshua were engaged, posting several photos cozied up with the Austin-based realtor while celebrating his birthday in Mexico on Instagram. She sported a diamond ring in the pictures.
In April 2022, PEOPLE confirmed the twotied the knot and Josh's 2024 divorce filing confirmed the couple had officially married on Oct. 6, 2021. The pair latercelebrated their nuptialswith an intimate oceanfront ceremony in Hawaii.
So, who is Christina Hall's estranged husband? Here's everything to know about Joshua Hall and his former relationship with the HGTV star.
He's a realtor based in Austin but has ties to California
Joshua is a licensed realtor in Texas, where he formerly worked for a brokerage calledSpyglass Realty. According to his past realtor page, he specialized in buying and selling properties in the Greater Austin area and surrounding Hill Country. However, he has a personal connection to Christina's home of Southern California.
After visiting Austin and falling in love with all it has to offer, he moved to the city in 2017 from California, where he grew up.
"I just could not leave without buying a home of my own in this little slice of heaven," Joshua wrote in his realtor bio, adding that he was born near Austin, at Ft. Hood Army base, where his father was stationed while serving in the military.
He added, "As a youngster, my family was shuffled around the country for various military assignments before settling back into their hometown of Southern California. It was there my parents raised my two younger sisters and me."

Joshua is the older brother of Jessica Hall andStacie Adams(née Stacie Hall), who have both been in the spotlight over the years.
Adams gained fame for her role onThe Hills, where she was known as "Stacie the Bartender" — the object ofSpencer Pratt's flirtations, despite him being in a relationship with his now-wifeHeidi Montag. He's been married before
According to Jessica's Instagram, Joshua got married in August 2016 to a woman named Chelsea. Jessica celebrated their first wedding anniversary byposting about the nuptialsin August 2017on the social media platform. It's unclear when Joshua and Chelsea's marriage came to an end.
Jessica was one of the bridesmaids at the wedding and attended Chelsea's bachelorette party as well, based on a photo sheshared on Twitter(now X). Wilkinson was also a guest and has been pictured with Joshua at other events.

He and Christina got married in a secret ceremony
In April 2022, Christina and Josh tied the knot after dating for a year.TMZwas the first to report the news, later confirmed by PEOPLE, with sources telling the outlet thatthey wed in California"sometime over the last six months." Josh's July 2024 divorce filing noted that the pair officially wed on Oct. 6, 2021.
She later spoke about her private courthouse wedding on a December 2022 episode ofChristina on the Coast.
"At this point in my life,I really value privacy when I can get it," she said. "So Josh and I decided to do a courthouse ceremony, just the two of us. Something private, just for us. And then, later, we'll do a reception for the kids and family."
Over Labor Day weekend in 2022, the pair celebrated their nuptials with anintimate oceanfront ceremonyfor friends and family at Merriman's Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii. Christina posted about the special dayon Instagram, captioning a photo of the couple, "Shared vows in front of family and our close friends. He was a police officer for 16 years and was injured on the job
According to Joshua's past realtor page, he began his real estate career later in life after serving 16 years as a police officer in the state of California. His law enforcement career ended when he suffered an injury.
"While living in Southern California, I realized my passion was to help others, and I became a Police Officer at the age of 21," he wrote. "Before my 16-year career was cut short due to injuries sustained in the line of duty, ultimately leading to early retirement, I took great pride in helping people with everyday difficulties and putting them at ease."
Joshua added that his career in policing actually helped him on his path to becoming a realtor: "With my previous career solving problems, helping others through difficult situations and my love for real estate, I made the decision to get my Texas real estate license."
In July 2017, Joshua's sister Jessicaposted on Instagramabout her brother's service as a police officer with the caption, "So proud of my brother Josh for his service as a Santa Monica PD officer for the past 16 years! Cheers to what the future holds for you."
He loves dogs
Much like his estranged wife, Joshua seems to have a soft spot for canines.
In his since-deleted realtor bio, Joshua said that in his spare time, he enjoys "exploring with my two dogs, floating on one of Austin's many bodies of water or flying to rescue puppies from kill shelters."

He likes to keep his relationship private but has spoken up to support his estranged wife
On April 13, 2022, Joshua posted a supportive message about Christinaon Instagram. In his post, he shared two photos of him and his then-wife hugging in front of a picturesque oceanfront pool.
"This woman I get to call mine is nothing short of incredible," hewrote in the caption. "No one or no thing will keep her from achieving happiness/success. She doesn't need anyone's validation and certainly doesn't let anyone's disapproval affect what she does with HER life."
His message ended with a note about online misconceptions. "Reminder: social media is not reality," Joshua added. "Some of the best moments are never captured by cameras and are not posted in any social media platforms. They are kept in private and are cherished together with those involved."
He enjoys family time
In May 2022, Christinashared a series of sweet photosfrom a family trip to La Jolla, Calif., with Joshua and her three kids: Brayden, Taylor and Hudson. She shares son Brayden and daughter Taylor with ex El Moussa, and son Hudson with ex Anstead.

In April 2022, it was announced that Joshua would join Christina on her HGTV spinoffChristina in the Country, whichdocuments their life and renovation businessin Tennessee.

Joshua filed for divorce from Christina in July 2024. According to documents obtained by PEOPLE on the 15th of the month, the realtor cited "irreconcilable differences" and a source close to Christina said she had filed as well.
The documents also included Josh's request for spousal support from Christina.
