Glen graduated from MATC in West Allis with a degree in Mortuary Science in 2000. He performed his funeral director apprenticeship in Racine at Kasuboski and Haas Funeral Home. Glen began his licensed funeral director career as Miller Mortuary Service, working as a trade embalmer in Racine, Kenosha, and Milwaukee and a premier shipping service throughout the world.
Glen has been contracted as a transporter for the Racine County Medical Examiner’s Office since 1995.
Glen founded, owned and operated Solace Cremations in Racine in 2004 and continues now in a partnership with another local funeral home to pursue his own funeral home in Union Grove.
When Glen’s preceptor wanted to retire, Glen took the opportunity to purchase Kasuboski and Haas Funeral Home in 2012. The Dahl name was restored to the funeral home when the historical records showed that it was originally Dahl Funeral Home in the early 1900’s when they also had a second office in Union Grove! Glen was thrilled to learn that he was bringing that history back to Union Grove.
Glen grew up in Union Grove. He graduated from Union Grove High School. Growing up Glen helped his family run Grove Concrete which was what got him started in the death care industry: they made concrete burial vaults for many of the Racine area funeral homes.
Glen married Rebecca Reesman October 2, 2004. They have four children: Glen, Jr., William, Barbara, and Violet.
Whenever the opportunity for an extreme value presented itself, Glen would travel. Glen has done extensive traveling throughout the world and has many stories to tell. Just ask him!
Since starting a family the world traveling has tapered off, but not the fun or the stories! He enjoys spending time with his children and going on family road trips around the United States. Their goal is to go to as many National Parks as possible.
Glen feels that being a Funeral Director is not a job, but a privilege. He strives to provide personalized service to each family and hopes that he offers them some comfort in their time of need.
